Master Christopher Ingrati

Master Chris was born into the world of Martial Arts. Officially beginning his training at the age of 4 in 1986, he has experienced many highlights, some of these are listed below:

Training Background

Competition and Demonstrations

  • Performed alongside Martial Art Legends such as Ernie Reyes Jnr and Snr, Bill ‘superfoot’ Wallace and Tadashi Yamashita at the Homebush Olympic Centre in 1989
  • Performed at the Police Olympics with the JAI Demo Team at the Sydney Football Stadium
  • Performed in stadiums, shopping centres, fetes and functions with the JAI Demo Team from 1986 – 1995
  • Competitor at various local, state and international Taekwondo Tournaments
  • Former Australian Taekwondo Champion in Sparring and Poomsae
  • Represented Australia at the Singapore Invitational winning Silver in Sparring and Silver in Poomsae
  • Taekwondo Competition Coach
  • Member of the JAI Demonstration Team
  • Graded to Taekwondo Black Belt at the age of 12

  • 2018: Awarded the ‘Sports Recognition Award’ from University of New South Wales for contribution to the University of New South Wales Taekwondo Club.

  • NCAS (National Coaching Accreditation Scheme) Taekwondo Level 1
  • International College of Kenshusei Senior First Aid Certificate and St Johns First Aid Certificate
  • 2005 – 2017: Holding several positions at the University of New South Wales Taekwondo Club – Club President, Club Vice President, Team Competition Coach, Coaching Director and Instructor
  • First person in Australia to be certified as a TACTIX Fitness Trainer through NESTA
  • First person in Australia to be certified as a Muay Thai Fitness Trainer through NESTA
  • First person in NSW to be certified as a Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Coach through the MMA Conditioning Association and NESTA
  • Certified Group TRX Instructor though the Personal Training Academy
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education Degree with the University of New South Wales
  • 2004 – 2011 also worked as a High School and Primary School teacher

Student Achievements

  • SILVER MEDALIST at the WAKO Junior World Championships in Ireland.
  • Selected to represent AUSTRALIA at the WAKO Junior World Championships.
  • SILVER MEDALIST at the Muay Thai International Association Tournament in Thailand.
  • Coaching the UNSW Taekwondo Team to the Australian Univeristy Games Championships in 2006 and 2007.
