WHAT A WEEKEND!

Over the weekend, our 2023 Black Belt Candidates participated in their Belt Test.

On Saturday, 14 students tested for their Junior Black Belt. A wonderful achievement from the students who have been committed and dedicated in their training for many years. All students completed their test successfully, showcasing their knowledge of the Syllabus, their Taekwondo skill, and their determination, persistence and resilience in completing their test. Their test lasted just over 2 hours, and from the moment we started we didn’t stop! Well done to our 2023 Junior Black Belts.

On Sunday, 21 students tested for their Senior Black Belt. At JAI Martial Arts, we issue international Black Belt Certification (both for our Junior and Senior Black Belts). While some Martial Art schools will award a Club Black Belt (they are recognised as a Black Belt at that school only), our standard is International Certification (our Black Belt students are recognised as a Black Belt no matter where they go in the world). The majority of the 21 students testing, started their Martial Arts journey in our Kicking Dragons program (ages 4-7). Their commitment and dedication, their desire to achieve, and the support from home, allowed them to test for their Black Belt. We are extremely proud of all who tested – we were amazed to see their resilience and determination to complete the 5 hour test. Aside from earning the Black Belt, this test and the journey towards it is character building. It is the hardest thing they will have to do to date, a personal achievement with the support from home and our instructor team. That sense of accomplishment is something no one can take from them. Congratulations to our 2023 Senior Black Belts. Wear your belt with pride.
