Grading Week : Term 1

Events
March 24, 2024

Grading Week officially kicks off Monday 25th March. Students who are eligible to grade have shown progress and improvement with their current belt level – they are ready to move on and to be challenged at the next level. By moving through the belt system, students are exposed to more of the Syllabus, their skills will improve and expand, and it’s a great tool to motivate and encourage students to reach their next goal.

During the Grading, our instructors will assess students on their knowledge of the Syllabus. Students will perform their ‘forms’ that they have been practicing, they will also showcase the striking skills they have been working on this Term. Towards the conclusion of the Grading, students will be tested on their fitness through a variety of striking drills.

For students who have received their Term 1 Grading notice, we recommend those students participate in their test. Students who grade are motivated to come to class, their skills are constantly improving, and they’re being challenged physically and mentally. Students earning their new belt is a symbol of hard work, it is a tangible representation of their commitment and effort in class. Something that should be celebrated and rewarded.

Good to luck to everyone testing this week for their new belt levels.

NOTE: If you miss your scheduled Grading, please contact the school so that we can reschedule the belt test before the Term ends.
