Congratulations to the 2024 Junior and Senior Black Belt Candidates who recently graded. Check out the recap below:
On Saturday, 15 Probationary Black Belts participated in their Junior Black Belt Grading. Over the 2 hours students were tested on 3 components:
- Knowledge of the Syllabus
- Fitness and Skill through Pad Work and Pad Sparring
- Free Sparring
Every student who participated in the Grading did so with incredible effort. We are extremely proud of them all and we can’t wait to see them wear their new belts this week in class.
On Sunday, 7 students participated in their Senior Black Belt (we had our first group grade mid year, and we’ll have additional students grading next month). Over the 4 hours students were tested on 3 components:
- Knowledge of the Syllabus
- Fitness and Skill through Pad Work and Pad Sparring
- Free Sparring
We were blown away with the effort from everyone. The Candidates had a great year training, they built friendships and worked hard in class. Today it showed. All 7 students should be extremely proud of what they have accomplished. We have had the privilege of seeing these students for over 5 years – and some around 10 years!
A big thank you to Mr Joseph who has worked with the Candidates in preparing them for their Grading. His attention to detail ensured that each student was well prepared. Thank you Mr Joseph.
