Today marks the day that Mr Jesse and Mr Jackson head to Japan as part of the Australian Team ready to compete at the All Karate Championships. The boys will be accompanied by Grandmaster Joe as well as Miss Orlanda.

Both boys have had a busy year in competition. They have just started to learn this new style of fighting with its different rules to other competitions they have been a part of. Quick learners they were able to get a grasp of the rules and excel in this form of competition, notching multiple wins and in Mr Jesse’s case, beating the Australian Champion. With their exciting fighting style and success on the mats, both boys were selected to represent their country.

When we talk to our children about dedication, commitment and having a goal, both boys should be mentioned. They are on the mats for hours and hours each week training and teaching. Mr Jackson has been juggling his first year of University, along with work and training, while Mr Jesse has been juggling Year 12, HSC exams, school Vice Captain duties AND work and training. As their instructors we are not only proud of their success on the mats, but also their attitude towards their training and teaching. As a school and as a Martial Arts Family, we wish them every success that they deserve both on the mats and off it.

Good luck boys.
